WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY

one-to-one Workshop

DESCRIPTION:

Hone your wildlife photography skills by spending a day either in the garden hides at my base in Glenshee, Scotland, or out on location in Highland Perthshire & The Cairngorms National Park. Learn about the gear and techniques I use to capture my wildlife images and experience some of Scotland’s fantastic wildlife.

The day can involve hide work and/or a visit to a local wildlife spot such as the nearby beavers or mountain hare. The workshop will be tailored to your skill level and interests which we can discuss prior to the day and may influence where we visit, and what we do.

FAQ:

What level do I need to be?
There is no required skills or knowledge level, your day will be tailor made depending on your experience from complete beginner and up.

What do I need to bring?
Ideally a Mirrorless or DSLR camera is best with a couple of lens options to choose from, wide through to medium telephoto. Cleared memory cards and a spare battery are essential for the day. A tripod is important if you have one, otherwise I can lend you one for the day on request. Point and shoot cameras and phones can also be used if you’re new to photography and haven’t invested in a system yourself yet as the basic principals will apply to those as well.

What if the weather is terrible on the day?
If the forecast is looking really poor on the run up to your day, I will be in touch to discuss whether you’d like to rearrange for another day that suits us both. However, wildlife photography can often be enhanced greatly by some difficult weather conditions and provide some really dramatic shots, so it may be worth getting a little wet!
